A 2 minute stroll from the gates of Les Gites de Fontenioux are our closest neighbours La Ferme de la Martiniere. Producing onsite their own goats cheese from their 250 strong herd, the results are truly amazing. The shop is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3pm till 6pm, and as well as the delicious cheese on offer you can also pick up a bottle or two of their own beer. Beer and cheese, round the corner, what else could you want?!

A warm welcome awaits you at the Pause Cafe. Traditional British food is on offer with the highlight being Fish and Chips served on Friday lunch and dinner. Patrons can sit both inside and out and enjoy the quality food on offer. A must visit!

Pause Cafe is situated around 10 mins from Les Gites de Fontenioux

A 10 minute drive from the gites you will find Le P'tit Canaillou, in the picturesque village of Le Busseau. You are guaranteed a warm welcome at this intimate setting, and an abundance of quality food. With an ever changing menu, there is something for everyone, with themed menus on a Friday evening and an extensive snack range on Saturdays and Sundays. Food is available to eat in or take away.

We will welcome you and make you discover our passion by showing you around the Brewery and tasting our range of beers.
Our shop is open all week and we open our terrace every Friday at the end of the afternoon for a moment of relaxation and conviviality.
We can also provide you with a dispenser for your events with 30 liter drums.

Brasserie Furie Douce is situated around 15 minutes from Les Gites de Fontenioux

Tasting sessions and tours are available free of charge at the brasserie, or onsite events at Les Gites de Fontenioux can be booked on a basis of a minimum of 6 people at a rate of €30 per person. Please contact us directly if this is something you would like to explore and we will make arrangements with the brewery.

Just a short drive from the gites is the welcoming Le Nouveau Bar de la Poste. Situated in the heart of l'Absie this bar & restaurant offers inside and outside dining and a Takeaway service. There is a daily menu and a Sunday lunch menu 13,50€ English beer on draught. Front and rear terraces. Private parties catered for.

Our bakery welcomes you and invites you to discover its tasty products. In our shop, you will be able to buy sandwich bread, country, wholemeal or sourdough bread and baguettes, ice cream, but also confectionery. A great opportunity to come? Take a look at our Christmas chocolates and cake toppers. Enjoy our sandwiches. Home delivery is possible.
